Intonation Exercise

Using interim notes

About using interim notes

This is a simple but very effective intonation exercise, involving a reference note (interim note) between two target notes. I explain and demonstre on the G string, but of course it is playable on all the rest of the strings. Practice it slowly, give yourself time to hear your first finger arrive on the interim note ascending before you play the target note, and your fourth finger while you are descending on the string.
